The studio is conceived as a collaborative laboratory for research, invention, and spatial enquiry, fed by research, curiosity, and speculation. Informed as much by questions as by answers we draw upon Gennette’s diegetic model narrative as a filter allowing isolation of key aspects of information. Rejecting the dominant didactic model the studio calls for a more Socratic approach, in which the student are encouraged become critically aware of their work as a converging sum of parts instead of a linear stream of consciousness permitted a pathway (via Metalepsis) from the subjective act and engagement as the creator of the project, to the objective level of reflection.
